Another core competency that distinguishes EMP from our industry peers is our Electrical Assembly and Box Build capability.
Over the past ten years EMP has evolved into a full-service assembly and integration house, producing a wide variety of electrical products for all the industries we serve. A few examples of products that we currently manufacture include Magnetic Assemblies, Switch Plates and Control Panels, Actuators for Flight Hardware, Linear Ion Sources, and Interlocking Cable Assemblies. We have also built complete Disk Drive Assemblies, and a wide range of specialty automation equipment for the Medical Industry.
Depending on the specific needs of the customer, much of our assembly is performed inside our dedicated cleanroom, which we maintain to rigorous temperature and air quality standards to prevent contamination.
Of course, building the electrical components is only a part of the effort required to deliver a quality product. Testing the end result is also critical to the process. That's why we offer a multitude of test protocols on everything we produce -- including functional testing, hi pot (AC and DC), continuity, leakage, impedance, and a host of others. Hass chamber testing is also available on an external subcontract basis.
