EMP began servicing the Semiconductor industry in the early 1990's with the development of a proprietary technique for embedding copper tubing into aluminum substrates.
Since that time, EMP has grown to become a leader in the manufacture of Heatsinks, Cold Plates, and other custom Heat Exchangers used by the large Semicon equipment manufacturers worldwide. Through its close alliance with Advanced Energy Industries and other capital equipment suppliers, EMP produces key components that provide cooling and temperature modulation in OEM power systems, which in turn are used to support the manufacture of silicon wafers, data storage products, flat panel displays, and compact disks.
EMP also manufactures components for plasma and ion beam sources, magnetic coil assemblies, microcontamination monitoring equipment, electrical control interfaces, structural cabinet hardware, and computer disk drives.
Because of EMP's position as a key supplier to the Semicon industry, the Company has become a leading Colorado exporter to China, making hundreds of shipments each year to Hong Kong and the mainland Chinese enterprise zones.
